Art of Living

I love texture and style!
Well, I love to mix
'texture and style'...
to add a little drama
and dimension to a space...
to achieve a sense of comfort
and intimacy.

My world is
stylistically fluid
and I don't want to
follow any design 'rule' -;)

Balinese decor accent
helps to keep
 the spirit of
an open-plan South Asian living alive.

Art inspires me everyday.
I always look for flea market
and vintage finds when I travel.

Home is where the heart is...
where cosiness and comfort prevail.

So,What is your design 'mantra' ?
Do drop me a line...-;)

I agree, texture and style are the important elements. I like to include natural elements when possible and love to collect things that catch my interest. My style is one of a collected layered look. Home is definitely where my heart is.
Thanks for sharing the beauty.

Gorgeous photos! Thanks for stopping by my own blog. In answer to your question: I like to pick up furniture when it's being given away, to save the environment.

I breaks lots of rules also. When I put my tables together the flatware and glasses may not be placed correctly but that is okay by me. Thanks for visiting Around My Table.

I enjoy, more than anything, an eclectic decor - one put together over time and travel and gifts and memories. Love the Eastern look in yours.

Sanghamitra, your colors are always glorious! My style is labored. I don't feel I have a natural eye for what works, and I do worry too much about whether things go together. I also move slowly because I don't want to spend the money on things that won't hold my attention very long. You seem to achieve your fantastic looks so naturally! What a gift!

I have been enjoying all of the beautiful pictures and lots of color in your blog. I am particularly enjoying your flower photos. Winter has been brutal this year, so I can hardly wait to have some flowers of my own.
