Welcoming Spring and a few 'Decor Tips'

When things are getting a little springy here...
a  few dreamy-magical moments,
all those amazing blooms and colours ,
happiness and contentment,
gentle spring and its beauty !

Go 'organic', go 'natural', go 'green' for this spring.
Incorporate a lots of  fresh flowers, plants and colours into your home (and life),
the more casual and effortless the styling is,
the more amazing is the result.

Design Tips:

1. Put a small jug or glass full of fresh flowers in each room-
it's the most welcoming touch of all.

2. De-clutter your home..as much as you can.
After a long day no one loves to come back to an unorganised home.
It brings stress and nothing else.
So, what are you waiting for?
Start your spring cleaning 'NOW'.

3. If you have a busy home with kids (like mine),
just don't go for those impractical, fancy decor ideas.
Try to choose a few inspirational ideas which suits your lifestyle and life stage.
A practical home is always a happy home.

4. Be it spring, summer or winter, try to follow your own heart.
Create your own style for every season and personalise your space.
'Your style' is your own 'stamp'.
It reflects true 'YOU'.

Orchids : Tropical Opulence

Charming purple 'Phalaenopsis Orchids'
a touch of nature's (tropical ) beauty...
can make wonders to any regular space
by importing a sense of  colour, warmth and elegance.

A glimpse of  Singapore morning...
Enjoy  spring at your part of the world.

Have a lovely week filled with colours and happiness.

Tropical Living...'Inside-Out'

I love to favour spaces that blur the boundary between inside and out...yes, you got me right, I am talking about the magical  aspects of  'Tropical Living' !

Vibrant tropical colours are so much more emphatic against a neutral background.  The open plan, relaxed, flamboyant 'Asian Tropical Living' is just appropriate in today's life. It is purely natural and organic. Effortless and elegant at the same time.

It is the 'Ultimate Harmony' that makes a 'Tropical Home' so special.

The interconnection of 'outdoor courts' with 'indoor elements', the natural and ornamental 'oriental style' works beautifully with an 'indoor-outdoor tropical home'.

A strong classical Thai feel is achieved here by using high quality silk fabrics, exquisite 'Thai bencharong' dinnerware and antique Thai artifacts.

Whereas the neutral background with a hint of wild 'Orchids' provides a delightful 'Tropical Accent'.

P.S.   A lot of things goings on at the 'real world', hence the sporadic posts.  A little bit engrossed at the brick and mortar level. Once again a big Thank You to all my family and friends who came to 'Singapore Furniture Design Week, March 2012'.
