Under the Aussie sun...:)

"Where ever you go,
go with all your heart."
                                       -Confucious

Sun-sea-sand
calling my name...
Yes, you got me right,
it's time again to take off
this voyager lady is
 all set to go
for a promising
OZ expedition.

Lazing around the Aussie sun...

is one of the most priceless pleasure
on the planet
Don't you think so...my lovelies -;)

Hopefully, this vacation is going to be
synonymous with
sea, sand and surfing,
a truly beach life,
sunny clear days,
visits to art shows, Museums
and operas,
national parks and wildlife
yes, I know, the list is long...

Being a design fanatic myself
how can I miss
those cozy little family cafes
by the beach,
with all those
dreamy touches of
blues, aquas and greens...

and some serious dose of
retail therapy
is definitely in mind
that's a girl's best friend after all...-;)

the pleasure of
breaking routine,
reading a few new story books
with the kids,
 quiet candle light dinner
with the better half
under the starry sky,
vacation is all about
those sweet little moments of
togetherness...

"We do not remember days,
we remember moments."
                                    -Cesare Pavese

that classic white 'n blue combination
and
the hint of azure ocean
calling the name
'laid back beach house living'...
is anyone there...-;)

and
a girl's true beauty is
the reflection
of her inner happiness,
when our heart is happy
our mind is free.

Surely, I will miss you all
and hope the feeling would be mutual.
I promise you to share
loads of photographs
from the famous spread of
sand and sea
in various parts of Australia
till then
stay happy,
stop and smell the roses -;)

Here I'm signing off with this beautiful quote

"The most important thing

is to enjoy your life-to be happy-
it's all that matters."
                         -Audrey Hepburn

Ornate Cambodian Wonders : Preah Khan, Angkor

 Mystic  and magical...

profound tranquillity and calmness...

astonishing Khmer art and architecture...

When I am completely lost in its mesmerising, ancient beauty...amidst the wondrous ruins in
Preah Khan, the huge, highly explorable monastic complex in Angkor region, Cambodia.

This super imposing monument of  Preah Khan or Prah Khan, built by Khmer King Jayavarman VII and was dedicated to his father. In harmony with the architecturally similar
Ta Prohm, (which was dedicated to Jayavarman VII's mother) it originally severed as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks.

Preah Khan means 'The Sacred Sword', was built on the site of Jayavarman VII's victory over the invading Chams in 1191, like most other temples of Jayavarman's reign, is not uniform in style. Although a Buddhist monastery, there is nonetheless an abundance of Brahmanic iconography.

It is a short and quick post. Presently my mind is soaked in Cambodian wonders, will be back soon with loads of posts on ancient Khmer splendours.

Stay tuned!

Magnificent Grand Palace of Bangkok...Amazing Thailand-Part 1

The Kingdom of Thailand ~ is an irresistible combination of  breathtaking natural beauty, inspiring temples, outstanding hospitality and superb cuisine. This is my third visit to 'The Kingdom' so far...and I'm completely amazed by it's rich history, heritage and culture . Truly 'THE KINGDOM is AMAZING!!!'
Bangkok ~ The beautiful Thai capital is an independent, dynamic, influential and one of the leading cities of South East Asia. The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed. It is undoubtedly the city's most famous landmark. Built in 1782 and served for 150 years as the home of the Thai Kings. The palace has remained the seat of spirituality and power in Thailand .
Here, a salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the very talented Thai people.
