Traditional needle work from Rajasthan....my all time passion

Traditions...and colours...and Ethnic Indian Decor Inspirations...

 puppets and bird hanging mobile.....

Traditional Art and Craft has been and shall be a reflection of cultural, socioeconomic, climatic and historic state of society at all times.....

Jaipur and Ajmer are the main centres of production of Traditional Rajasthani 'Gotta Art Work'.

In recent years pure silver yarns are replaced by synthetic yarns...
floral and animal motifs are commonly used...

Some of my Rajasthani Handicraft collections...

Needle works from the 'Desert State'

The work was previously done on pure Georgette, Chiffon, Velvet and Silk...whereas as in recent years synthetic fabrics are used for the production. The colours commonly used are Red, Orange,Yellow, Pink, Maroon and Magenta :)
