It speaks quietly Tropical-'The Asian Tropical Style'

[Red plumeria and river pebbles on a mother of pearl shell dish
- refined simplicity of tropical living and my humble abode]

A home can be a sensual delight
with simple or intriguing arrangements of
natural materials.

Free flowing space,
airy and light open plan residence,
organic space which is in tune with mother nature
evokes the 'Asian Tropical Style'

Thai raw silk cushion cover
and silk throw from Cambodia
beautifully compliments
the Vietnamese wooden fisherman.

So,
Go tropical...
Go natural...
Go green...
it is artfully unexpected :)

A study corner with natural flair...
Dokra musician from Kolkata (West Bengal, India),
framed tribal art
and wooden 'snake boat race' figure from Kerala (India),
sits happily with green succulent
potted in a clay planter.

 [Today...on the coffee table :)]

Touch of wood, clay, bamboo,
coconut twigs or sea shells
blended with
raw silk, fresh orchids and gorgeous plants
beautifully paints the composed and stylish picture of
Asian Tropical Decor.

Asian Tropical Style is casually elegant,
relaxed and free flowing,
comfortable and crisp,
whimsical yet functional...
and just perfect for today's busy life.

What do you say...?..:)

P.S. : I am extremely sorry for the infrequent activity on this little blog for the last couple of months. The 'off-line life' is becoming increasingly demanding and juggling between different role(s) is tough sometime. I know my beautiful readers are truly understanding. I'm going to answer all your e-mails ASAP.
Thanks again for your unconditional love, support and  time.

Comfort Zone

                                                                                   via

Comfort often starts from a cozy nook
the turquoise wall and the gorgeous setting
completes the tone of this room...
here 'more' is more.

A comfy bedroom
wrapped in warm colours

an immediate sense of warmth and comfort
- a feeling that's obvious
from an expert blend of colours, texture and materials.

and relaxing living...

Welcoming suzani

Colours and elegance

We can use our own space
as a constantly evolving experimental canvas
to live our style...

Living: Global-Boho-Chic

"There is no formula for glamour. It combines shimmer and charisma. It's elusive but you know it when you see it."

- Mary McDonald, Mary McDonald Interiors

So true!

This gorgeous turquoise wall
and the effortless casual style
evokes a lot...isn't it ?

I just can't take my eyes off from
these calm, grown up rooms below.

  Totally loving these
vibrant colours,
bold patterns

and beautiful fabrics,

boho at it's best.

Those pillows , cushions, suzani and Asian artifacts
blends so well with those pictures on the wall.
Here, east meets west.

This image reminds me of my homeland, India.
The gorgeous 'jhula' and the chair
 are must for
gapshap (chitchat ) with endless cups of chai (tea) :)

Need less...and...smile often :)

A good life
is when you
do more,
need less,
assume nothing,
smile often,
dream big,
laugh a lot
and realize how blessed you are
        -Unknown

So true!

In design and styling also I feel happy when I 'need less'.
The effortless and relaxing style is truly inviting for me.

What is your thought...would love to know.

Stop and smell the roses...:)

to set aside a little time,
to take a pause,
to relax,
to renew,
to reflect.

Home is where the 'heart' is

What makes your home special to you ?
My answer is : The people in it, my family and friends-:)

Home should be a refreshing and peaceful place
to come back at the end of a long day.

A happy home means happy people,
not just a bulk of expensive furniture and strict design rules.

Agree or disagree  ??

Have a beautiful weekend folks with your loved ones-:)

Some crispy and breezy ideas...

to jazz up your beautiful springy morning

refreshing and colourful,
happy and relaxed...
now that is what is call

Welcome Spring!

Yes, I am back -:)
Thanks once again for your long patience,
unconditional love
and tremendous support.

Have a great day folks-:)

So, we had a 'Golden' themed Christmas this year :)
Dad-Mum and the kiddos were super busy to put up the tree...
fun family time together...
What's Christmas
without some laughing, playing, screaming kids ??

Some more golden moments....

Winter Wonderland...by the night
when everything glows !

Hope all of you had a dazzling Christmas :)
