From The Festive Kitchen...Diwali Decor Ideas

Busy time at home
Well, precisely the craziest time of the year.
Cleaning...cleaning and cleaning,
preparation for the pujas,
meeting up with friends,
shopping...
and yes, most importantly the kids are at home.
Hmmm...the school is closed for two days
so, it's a long weekend :)

Diyas, tea-lights and candles
flowers and colours...
textures and patterns,
brass, copper and silverware,
peacock feathers and paisley motifs,
and loads of happiness...
this is Diwali
the biggest festival of India.

What is Diwali without some home made sweets and savouries:)

  7. Greetings, Sanghamitra! What beautiful photos as always! The colors are all so vivid!!! I love peacock feathers, and they just photograph so beautifully. The cleaning can't be much fun, but I'm sure having the kids home from school is a nice change of pace. And shopping....shopping is ALWAYS a good thing! :-) I wish you and your family and very joyous and prosperous Diwali!
